Chorus members, some of whom travel from as far away as Portland, Brunswick, Rockport and Camden, rehearse and perform under the leadership of Dr. Anthony Antolini, director of the Bowdoin College Chorus, Down East Singers and the Rachmaninoff Choir. The ensemble is accompanied by Sean Fleming, organist at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Newcastle and accompanist for the Bowdoin Chorus, Sheepscot Chorale, St. Cecilia Choir and numerous other choral and drama organizations in Maine.
Not sure whether you want to sing in the chorus? Give it a try! Each June Lincoln Festival Chorus holds two open rehearsals for the summer's concerts at St. Columba's Episcopal Church, Emery Lane, Boothbay Harbor, ME 04538.
Annual dues for the chorus are $40. Dues include a CD of the concert. Music for the concert is loaned to members for the season at no charge. Membership dues are waived for full-time students.
Bring a new member (or a returning member who hasn’t sung with LFC in the last 2 years) to open rehearsals and if they join (pay by the third week), you get a credit of $10 towards your membership dues. Limit of one credit per member, per year.
