The Lincoln Festival Chorus is not the only performer in Lincoln Arts Festival, but it is the cornerstone of the organization in the sense that it was the first Festival activity to be established, and it is the only one to be presented annually from 1980 to 2019! We plan to perform again as soon as it is safe to do so!
During the summer of 2021 singers did rehearse for an August concert. The day before their final rehearsal the State of Maine mandated masks for all persons assembling in public places. Sadly the chorus relinquished their dream of a public performance in favor of safety and good health for all. Singers agreed that they were thankful that they were allowed to "enjoy the journey" of rehearsing together after the shutdown of 2020, but everyone is looking forward to performing again in August 2022!
